Push notifications are notifications that are sent to you when you are logged in to the Community but you don't currently have it open.
You can receive a push notification for multiple different reasons. Sometimes it will be because we want everyone in our Community to be aware of a specific Post, and sometimes it may be because someone has tagged you in a Comment on your Post.
You'll often see them on your device lock screen, or in your devices own notification hub.
Tapping it will take you directly to the Community where you'll see the specific piece of content it was sent about. But once you tap it, it's gone!
Can I Choose what Push Notifications I Receive?
Of course you can! You have full control over what push notifications you receive.
If you're Using our App:
Head to your profile by tapping your profile icon in the middle of the bottom navigation menu, then select the cog icon at the top right of the screen – this will take you to your App Settings.
The first option you will see is push notification settings, choose this to be taken to this page:
You can see that we've opted in to receiving push notifications, but we've picked and chosen which ones we want to receive.
If you're Using the Web Platform:
Select the settings option from the left hand navigation menu and then choose push notifications from the available options.
